Camping At The Fairgrounds

Camping During the Ramona Junior Fair

  • We offer camping spaces for RV’s, Trailers, Campers, & Tents ONLY.  All must be self-contained.
  • Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to exhibitors from out of town.
  • Each club will be given a designated area to park RV’s and we will let you decide how to best place each one within this area. Move in times will be announced after registration closes.
  • There are a limited number of camping spaces on the Ramona Junior Fairgrounds.

Each person who wishes to camp at the Fairgrounds MUST complete a Camping Registration Form.

Facilities at the Fairgrounds

Camping Sites

  • Cost $75 per individual camping unit
  • Each individual (either single or in a club camping area) must register for camping via our Camping Registration Form.
  • Pay for camping when completing your Ramona Junior Fair entries.  Look for the division titled “RJF Additional Fees”.
  • Each club that wishes to camp together will be given a designated area to park. We will let you decide how to best place each unit within this area.
  • Club/chapter camping locations will be designated by RJF camping director.
  • All placement of generators (personal & commercial) will be reviewed & designated by RJF camping director to avoid any issues with noise and emissions.

Generators At The Fairgrounds

Personal Generators
  • Generators can run from 7 AM to 10 PM
  • Please show courtesy toward your neighbors in the placement of generators.
  • RJF security or campground officials may ask that you relocate your generator if it disturbs those camping around you.
  • Warning: Carbon Monoxide Poisoning is possible with camping equipment. Follow equipment instructions!
  • The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) warns to never run a motor vehicle, generator, or any gasoline-powered engine less than 20 feet from an open window, door, or vent where exhaust can vent into an enclosed area.
  • Generator placement isn’t about noise, it is about DEATH from generator exhaust going into other rigs, tents, etc.
Commercial Generators
  • Clubs/chapter may choose to rent/use commercial generators.
  • ONLY approved generators MAY be operated during quiet hours. These generators can be run 24/7.
  • Cost of the generator rental is by contract with the club & the rental company.
  • Each club/chapter leader/advisor will be responsible for sending a single list of everyone who will need to be grouped with the proposed generator(s).
  • Proposed generator must be approved by RJF camping director NO LATER THAN July 14, 2026.
  • You will be responsible for all things generator related: renting, fueling, cords, distribution boxes, proper placement, removal, hours of operation, etc.

Campground Rules & Regulations

  • Bicycles, motorcycles, and electric/gas carts will not be allowed on the Fairgrounds or in the Camping Area.
  • Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. Campers are expected to pick up after their animals. Dogs will not be allowed in the livestock area at any time. (Except Guide Dogs).
  • Sites must be kept clean and orderly at all times. Full trash bags are to be disposed of in the dumpsters; do not leave trash bags or garbage stockpiled at the site.
  • 4-H, Grange, and FFA youth members will NOT be allowed to stay unsupervised in the camping area. A supervising adult MUST accompany youth in the camping area. The supervising adult will be responsible for maintaining orderly conduct AT ALL TIMES.
  • Fairground gates will be locked at 10:00 PM.
  • Quiet time is 10:00 PM till 7:00 AM.
  • Disruptive noise or behavior is prohibited. Violators will be asked to comply or leave the campground.
  • Any incident or violation of rules and guidelines should be reported and shall be handled by the Ramona Junior Fair Board.
  • Those not in compliance are subject to immediate disciplinary action and will immediately be asked to leave the Fairgrounds.

Release & Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement (PREMISES LIABILITY)

In consideration of being permitted to enter Ramona Community Park (hereinafter referred to as “PARK”) for any purpose, including, but not limited to observation, use of facilities or equipment or participation in any way, the undersigned hereby acknowledges, agrees and represents that he/she has inspected, or immediately upon entering will inspect such premises and facilities.

It is further warranted that such entry in PARK for observation, participation or use of any facilities or equipment constitutes an acknowledgment that such premises and all facilities or equipment thereon have been inspected and that the undersigned finds and accepts same as being safe and reasonably suited for the purposes of such observation or use. In further consideration of being permitted to enter PARK for any purpose including, but not limited to, observation, use of facilities or equipment, or participation in any way, the undersigned hereby agrees to the following:

  • The undersigned hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue Ramona Municipal Water District (“RMWD”) and Ramona Junior Fair (RJF), its directors, officers, employees, or authorized volunteers (hereinafter referred to as “releasees”) for all liability to the undersigned for any loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefor on account of injury to the person or property or resulting death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, while the undersigned is in, upon, or about the premises of any facilities or equipment therein.
  • The undersigned hereby agrees to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in, upon or about PARK premises or in any way observing or using any facilities or equipment of RMWD and RJF, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
  • The undersigned hereby assumes full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligence of releasees or otherwise while in, about or upon PARK and/or while using the premises or any facilities or equipment thereon.
  • The undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
  • The undersigned has read and voluntarily signs this release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducement apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
